Cambambe wants better organization of the agricultural area

Africa-Press – Angola. The new deputy municipal administrator of Cambambe for the Financial and Budgetary area, José Muacanda Manda Fama, defended the need for greater investment in the agriculture and fisheries sectors and special support for cooperatives and peasant associations.

José Manda Fama was presented, on Friday, to public officials and members of social organizations in the municipality of Cambambe, Cuanza Norte province.

According to José Manda Fama, cooperatives and peasant associations already exist and produce, but it is necessary to know, from a real point of view, what they produce and how, in order to increase production levels.

On the occasion, he also defended greater interaction with higher structures in the finance sector, with a view to concluding several social projects in the municipality.

He recognized that the slowdown or stoppage of works is a situation of cyclical nature across the country.

He asked, however, for more dynamism on the part of municipal teams, through contacts with the Ministry of Finance, as well as the increase in local initiatives, to reach solutions in less time.

José Manda Fama replaces Rosalina Madalena Afonso Xongo, who suspended her mandate in January 2022, by her own decision.

The presentation ceremony for the new deputy administrator was led by the vice-governor for the Political, Economic and Social area, Luzia José.

According to the vice-governor, the appointment of the new deputy administrator for the Financial and Budget sector aimed to “fill a void” that existed more than a year ago, as municipal administrations, as budgetary units, need to streamline their actions , for the benefit of communities.

“They are staff appointed to assist the tasks of the main administrators, in compliance with the technical aspects, in matters of finance, in light of the strategies outlined by the executive, which must be well interpreted, to avoid possible management failures”, he clarified.
