CASA-CE candidate promises to industrialize the country

Africa-Press – Angola. The CASA-CE candidate for President of the Republic promised, yesterday, in Namibe, to industrialize the country in the most varied areas, to the detriment of investment in alcoholic beverage factories.

Manuel Fernandes, who was speaking to hundreds of activists at a mass rally in the largest market in the city of Moçâmedes, located in the 5 de Abril neighbourhood, stressed that what families need are job opportunities and quality food.

He defended that the country should not live on imports, but have the capacity to produce to satisfy domestic consumption, whether for products from the countryside or those extracted from natural resources.

For CASA-CE, he underlined, the first resource that deserves serious investment is man. Therefore, he promised to invest in the reform of the education system, to meet the challenges of the country’s development.

Manuel Fernandes delegated power to the militants, who must decide and define, on the 24th, who will be able to lead the country’s destiny over the next five years. He considered that young people are dynamic, have energy, and are hardworking, but they are unable to work in government agencies due to lack of opportunity, ending up struggling to provide for the family.

In this regard, he recognized the role of motorcycle taxi drivers who, instead of engaging in illicit acts, work, carrying people from one place to another, in order to earn something to support their families. “And these people should even deserve special attention from the rightful ones”, he defended.

The politician considered the zungueiras “true heroines”, because they are not there or do this exercise because they want to, but as an alternative found because, in the case of many, the partners do not have a job and if they work, what they earn is not enough to support the family. He urged the coalition’s militants and the population to vote for number 5 of the ballot paper.

For Manuel Fernandes, Namibe is a province that, from a tourist point of view, should contribute a lot to the General State Budget (OGE), as it has a rare plant, the Welwitschia Mirabilis, and the ancient Kalahari desert. “Namibe has everything to be a wonderful land,” he said.

CASA-CE is currently the third largest force in the country, behind the MPLA and UNITA. In the last elections, the coalition was the second most voted in Namibe, obtaining 16.21% and electing a deputy. The MPLA, with 75.65% of the total votes, elected four deputies.
