Africa-Press – Angola. The Mayor of Roma Capitale (Italy), Roberto Gualtieri, this Thursday highlighted the partnership with Angola and expressed interest in establishing exchanges with institutions in the country.

Roberto Gualtieri made these statements to the press, at the end of the visit that the President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço, made to the institution, which is located in the historic area of ​​the Capitólio.

During his stay on site, the Angolan Head of State had a private meeting with Roberto Gualtieri, which served to exchange impressions, and in the end signed the institution’s book of honour.

Still in the Chamber of Roma Capitale, the Holder of the Executive Power received a statue of Marcus Aurelius, who was a writer, philosopher and Roman emperor (between the years 161 and 180).

Marcus Aurelius was also known in history as the “philosopher emperor” and also as “the wise emperor”.

Represented by the Chamber of Rome, the city of the same name made a high contribution to Western civilization, in the fields of Law, Philosophy, Culture and the spread of Christianity.

As for the work program of the Angolan Head of State in the Italian capital, he reserves, for this Thursday afternoon, participation in the opening of the Italy-Angola Economic Forum.

The initiative is by the business association Confindustria Assafrica, in collaboration with the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency of Angola (AIPEX).

João Lourenço is completing his last day of visit to Italy yesterday, where he arrived Tuesday, at the invitation of the Italian President, Sergio Mattarella.
