Africa-Press – Angola. The senior men’s futsal team from Recreativo Chapesseca do Huambo, current champions, thrashed Santos FC B, 12-1, on Sunday night, in the highlight game of the first round of the XVI Provincial Championship of the modality.
The competition, which has been held since last Saturday, at the Osvaldo Serra Van-Dumem multipurpose pavilion, in the interior of the city of Huambo, with the participation of 12 teams, as in the last edition.
At halftime, the champion team was already winning, by 4-0.
In other matches played, also, on Sunday, Santos FC A, runner-up, thrashed the formation of MD/PG, by 11-5, while Kwatelela beat RM, by 7-4.
The opening round also registered the following results:
Negrolatos 5x 4 Maresy, A17 5 x 2 PIB and Sualiras 3 x 12 4 de Junho.
The second round, to be played next weekend, will have the following pairing:
Maresy x 4 de Junho, Negrolatos x A17, Santos A x Sualiras, PIB x Chapesseca, Kwatelela x MD/PG and Santos B x RM .
Still next weekend, the XIV Senior Women’s Povincial Championship of the modality will start, with four teams.
In the first round of the competition, 4 de Junho, champion team of the last edition, will open the competition against RM, while the second game will be between 4 de Junho B and Recreativo Chapesseca do Huambo.
The formation of Leopardos, which gave rise to the 4th of June, in male, leads the list of the gallery of winners, with 11 titles.
As for women, the list is led by 4 de Junho, with 12 trophies.
