In women’s competition, the event was won by Algerian Chahrazed Djeroud, with eight points.
In the men’s sector, FIDE Master Domingos Júnior (Angola) was in sixth place with five points. He drew in the final round with Algerian Hallal Tarik.
In this category, the competition was won by Algerian Wafa Hamed, with 8.5.
The championship saw the participation of 11 athletes (female) and 17 male athletes, in the competition held in the Swiss system over nine rounds.
