China ready to continue training Angolan soldiers

Africa-Press – Angola. Lieutenant General Zhang Baiqun, deputy director of the Military Affairs Cooperation Office, said this Monday (24th) that China is willing to reactivate the process of training the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) soldiers.

The fact was made known at the time of accreditation of the Defense Attaché and Deputy Attaché of the Angolan Embassy in China, respectively, Colonels Francisco Manuel Adão and José Paulo de Jesus Pires.

At the ceremony held at the Military Affairs Cooperation Office and presided over by its deputy director, Lieutenant General Zang Baiqun said there was a need to train the Angolan military in different fields, highlighting the assembly line of military trucks, the construction of warehouses and material aeronautics, and other projects that are paralyzed due to Covid-19.

Colonel Francisco Manuel Adão, head of the Military Chancellery, returned the host’s gesture with thanks. The Chinese representative was present with Liu Kay, deputy director of the West Asia sector, and Bo Shuang, director of the Foreign Center of the Office for Cooperation in Military Affairs.

Major Rosaberty do Carmo Katchiva was part of the Angolan delegation in the accreditation act.
