Citizens over the age of 35 can apply for the Civil Service

Africa-Press – Angola. Citizens over the age of 35 will be able, from now on, to apply for vacancies in the Civil Service. The measure is part of the new Basic Law on Civil Service approved, this Thursday, at the 6th Ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers, guided by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.

With the approval of this document, the 35-year limit for joining the Civil Service is thus removed, whose proposal now goes to the National Assembly for approval by next month.

“We understand that 35 years of age violates the principles constitutionally enshrined in the Constitution with regard to the right to work, given that the principle of equal work is for everyone if the employer’s expectations are met”, justified the Minister of Administration, Employment and Security, Ana Dias, to journalists at the end of the meeting.
