Africa-Press – Angola. Voting citizens with an expired Identity Card can today exercise their right to vote, the spokesman for the National Electoral Commission (CNE) announced in Luanda.
Lucas Quilundo, who was speaking at the briefing with the national and international press, added that voters who only have a copy of the Identity Card accompanied by the document renewal receipt (BI) can also vote.
According to the spokesman, this measure emerged today from a meeting of the CNE plenary.
Climate Of Tranquility
As for the voting process, he said that it continues to take place with the same atmosphere of calm, tranquility and serenity on the part of voters, “so there is no record of situations that could disturb the process”, he assured.
“We encourage this civic behavior of citizens and other electoral citizens involved in the process to continue”, appealed Lucas Quilundo.
