Africa-Press – Angola. The city of Ndalatando, capital of the province of Cuanza-Norte, will host the interprovincial Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) tournament, happening on Saturday and Sunday (13 and 14), with the participation of more than 300 athletes from the senior and junior categories in both genders.
In statements, the head of the provincial MMA association, Francisco da Costa, said that the winners of the junior and senior tournaments in the male and female categories from the provinces of Luanda, Icolo & Bengo, Bengo, Cuanza-Norte, Malanje, Zaire, Benguela, Uíge, Cuanza-Sul and Namibe will participate in the event.
The event, which will be in the round-robin format with elimination, aims to select athletes for the African competition.
He assured that the technical and logistical conditions were in place for the participating delegations, with support from the Provincial Government of Cuanza-Norte, the Angolan Federation of Mixed Martial Arts, and other sponsors.
