Eight hundred and 11 thousand, 991 workers, including military and paramilitary personnel, are currently included in the State’s Integrated Financial Management System, revealed this Monday in Luanda, the minister of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security, Teresa Dias .

According to the official, who was speaking at the opening of the National Meeting on Public Administration, Work and Social Security, in the management and control of civil service staff, there were 398,815 employees until 2018.

This number, he explained, fluctuated during the period under review, with a total of 399,820 employees by the year 2022.

He said, on the other hand, that, with the approval and entry into force, in 2022, of the Civil Service Basic Law, allowed this ministerial department to reduce the probationary period from five to one year, insert all agents into the definitive staff administrative staff who were under contract, a total of seven thousand and 200, in addition to the transition of employees from the special regime to the general regime, without the need for a public tender.

“We would like to point out that the Executive also worked on approving Presidential Legislative Decree No. 3/22 of May 12, which established the general principles relating to the organization and application of the indicative structure of salary tables, as well as the subsidies or remuneration supplements for the Civil Service”, he said.

The minister recalled that, in the context of training civil servants and workers in the public business sector, the National School of Administration and Public Policies (ENAPP) trained 44,905 employees, having exceeded the target of 32,000 established in the National Development Plan (PDN).

The National Meeting on Public Administration, Work and Social Security is attended by members of the Executive, social partners, academics, journalists, among other guests.

With the central theme “Discussing the paths and progress of Administration, Labor and Social Security”, it aims to promote the consultation, investigation and debate of themes linked to the transversal purpose of the attributions of the Ministry of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security ( MAPTSS), as well as publicizing the main projects and reforms implemented in recent years.

At the meeting, topics such as “Public Administration Reforms”, “The Role of Vocational Training in Entering the Labor Market”, “Economic Growth, Employment and Income: the challenges in the African region for socio-economic prosperity” are being discussed at the meeting. of current and future generations” and “Challenges of sustainability, expansion and adequacy of Social Security”.
