Africa-Press – Angola. Desportivo de Huíla announced on Monday (21) in Lubango, the signing of 8 new players for the 2025/26 football season, three of whom are foreigners with the goal to improve the club’s performance after finishing the last Girabola (football tournament of the 1st division) in 8th place with 42 points.

The foreign reinforcements include goalkeeper Natan (formerly of Saint-Éloi Lupopo of the Democratic Republic of Congo), midfielder José Jó, and forward Adubai, both from Guinea-Bissau.

According to a source, the foreign players were carefully selected, aiming for a balance between youth, talent, and experience, in a season in which the goal is to remain among the top-ranked teams and, if possible, compete for a spot in continental competitions.

Next season’s kick off is scheduled for upcoming Sept, with preparation matches to fine-tune collective mechanisms and evaluate the new squad members’ performance.
