Manuel Pereira da Silva, who was speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the new provincial electoral commissioner of Huambo, António Pakissi, stressed that “the work will be effective” when more people are registered so that, in August, they can be able to exercise their right to vote. vote in the next elections.
To the new provincial electoral commissioner of Huambo, the president of the CNE asked for an action based on the fulfillment, with generosity and respect, of the basic principles based on “transparency, exemption, speed in the implementation of tasks and independence”.
“He knows the house and will fill the gap left by the former commissioner, who ceased his duties, and is currently working in another area”, he signaled, advising not to question “the labor and structuring principles of supervision”, because, in the event of violation, the acts performed are taken to the sanctioning level.
António Pakissi Pereira, who replaces Gabriel Kassuia, pointed out that this task will “require a joint effort”, expressing his willingness to work so that the electoral process and the holding of the elections run smoothly.
