Africa-Press – Angola. “Addictive” is the title of comedian Artur Pop’s first solo comedy show, which takes place today at 7:00 pm at the Angolan League of Friendship and Solidarity for the People (LAASP), in Luanda.Speaking yesterday, Artur Pop explained that this concert is an initiative that he holds annually, outside of the duo he forms with the comedian Imperador, which consists of each member of the duo promoting a solo comedy show and “this year would be no different”. In the show, the comedian will show all his talent and creativity in terms of satire, since it will be a show with no solo performances, without the participation of any guests. “We think this way because before we were a duo we were already doing individual work. So as a duo we don’t always have time to elaborate everything we think without rushing. This project allows us to express everything we feel and think, without pressure from anyone”, said the comedian. It is worth noting that Artur Pop and Imperador form a duo of Angolan comedians, who have recently shown themselves to be consistent, taking firm and significant steps in their careers and increasingly gaining space in the Angolan market. In 2023, the duo closed the year in style by filling the Belas Conference Centre and gaining airtime on TV Zimbo with the project “A Família do Rapley”.
José do Nascimento Artur, known in the artistic world as Artur Pop, was born on 27 August 1986, in Luanda. An actor and comedian, he began acting in theatre in 2004 and, in 2017, embraced the world of comedy.
