The third edition of the Kids Talent Awards (KTA) Gala, whose winners’ award gala is scheduled for the 25th of this month, at the Royal Plaza, takes place under the motto “Neto, Seu Legado present in the art of children”, in honor of the first President of the Republic of Angola, António Agostinho Neto, for the centenary to be marked on 17 September.
The information was provided by the producer of KTA, on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of entries to the categories, having highlighted the path and legacy of Agostinho Neto.
Celina Coluna said that the tribute to Neto is based on the requirement that the applications submitted in the Poetry and Visual Arts categories reflect on the work of Agostinho Neto.
Celina Coluna, who is also a journalist, explained that the requirements dictate that competitors in the Poetry category recite one of the poems written by Agostinho Neto, and the Visual Arts works must be based on the figure and patriotic deeds of Neto.
Producer Celina Coluna revealed that this edition also brings, as a novelty, the inclusion of the Tik Tok category, and the change of requirements for Literature, in which texts must be presented in national languages.
The KTA is a multidisciplinary event focused on the arts sector, which aims to reward children’s artists and professionals who are dedicated to the production and artistic promotion of events and other content for other children, as a way of recognizing their work and encouraging the new generation. in the preservation and materialization of the Angolan cultural mosaic.
Kids Talent Awards have as categories of Performing Arts (music, theater, dance and theater), Visual Arts (cinema and plastic arts), Literature (literary works and poetry), TV Children’s Program, Children’s Radio Program, Sports (Freestyle), Children and TikTok Producers and Creators.
The previous edition of KTA paid tribute to journalist Joaquim Freitas, for his more than 35 years of professional career dedicated to projects aimed at children, among which the promotion of Angolan children’s music stands out.
