Africa-Press – Angola. The chief of the General Staff of the FAA, Aviation General Altino dos Santos, called for the continued commitment of the military personnel in defending sovereignty, in the face of the threats of the current situation in the world.
The aviation general, who was speaking to the press at the end of the FAA tactical exercises held on Friday in Cabinda, considered the situation in the world increasingly vulnerable, complex and ambiguous.
Although he assessed the political-military situation in Cabinda as calm, the chief of the General Staff highlighted the importance of tactical maneuvers in improving the physical, technical and operational condition and maintaining combat readiness of the military.
The Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) carried out tactical exercises in Cabinda this Friday, in a real war scenario.
The maneuvers involved personnel from the Army, Air Force and Navy (the three arms of the FAA) and the National Police.
Held at the Ntó polygon, south of Cabinda, the maneuvers are part of the period of operational, combative, educational and patriotic instruction to maintain high levels of operationality of the force systems.
In the year of operational, combative, educational and patriotic instruction of the Angolan Armed Forces 2023/2024, the FAA were subjected to theoretical and practical content in order to assess their level of commitment.
