Africa-Press – Angola. The Secretary of State for Sport, Teresa Ulundo, considered (Friday), in Luanda, the third edition of the Angolan Sports Business Conference (CONFENDA), as a true window of opportunities for economic and social income.
Speaking at the opening of the event, representing minister Palmira Barbosa, he stressed that the organizers had a good vision, bringing to Angola the idea that sport is a real business, like in other countries, such as Europe.
“Sport is considered one of the greatest factors of involvement and social inclusion, whose training stimulates massification, improves the quality of life of society, as well as contributes to the economic development of a country”, he said.
On the occasion, he appealed to the country’s business sector to invest in sport, not only in training talent, but also in job creation.
On her turn, Tatiana de Morais, provincial director of Culture and Sport of Luanda, wished the participants a feeling of being at home.
Also on behalf of Governor Manuel Homem, he referred that the country’s capital once again recorded a moment of reference for sport.
“The province of Luanda is proud to host this conference, which will bring together sports agents, for debates and exchange of ideas and experiences, to the development of the sports market”, he stressed.
The official added that the participants will make the event a privileged space to assemble strategies and skills of sports agents.
He explained that with this action, the organizers contribute to the improvement of the sport.
He reiterated the total openness and availability of the Government of the province of Luanda, in working with all sports agents, in the creation of better conditions for the practice of sports, taking into account its importance, as a factor of insertion in society.
