Africa-Press – Angola. The consuls general and those responsible for the consular sectors of the Angolan diplomatic missions will meet, starting tomorrow, in Luanda, to evaluate the Process for Updating the Official Electoral Registration in the diaspora and the Program for the Massification of Civil Registration and Identification Acts.

According to a note from the Institute of Angolan Communities Abroad and Consular Services (ICAESC) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to which ANGOP had access, yesterday, the consuls and those responsible for the consular sectors, who will be meeting at the Diplomatic Academy Venâncio de Moura , will receive information from experts from the Ministry of Territory Administration (MAT) and the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (MINJUSDH),respectively.

The note adds that the participants will also receive inputs on the visa granting process through the Savis system, operated by the Migration and Foreigners Services (SME), as well as will appreciate the situation of Angolan citizens residing abroad, by the Services. of External Intelligence (SIE).

“At the meeting, the Institute of Angolan Communities Abroad and Consular Services (ICAESC) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will take the opportunity to reinforce the instructions on the Standardization of Consular Acts, Requirements, Procedures and Prices, in consulates and consular posts, a issue that has caused some constraints to the normal functioning of those institutions”, reads the document.

The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Esmeralda Mendonça and the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, Domingos Vieira Lopes, will be representing the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António.

The meeting also includes representatives of MAT, MINJUSDH, Ministry of the Interior and directors of MIREX.
