The Angolan ambassador to Cuba and non-resident of the Dominican Republic, Maria Teixeira, presented, in that Central American country, the new business environment and a set of ongoing reforms in the Angolan territory, which establishes the general bases of private investment.
According to a note sent Monday, the ambassador made this presentation during a meeting with members of the local government and the diplomatic corps accredited in the Dominican Republic.
The diplomat mentioned as examples the repatriation of dividends and other operations abroad. Maria Teixeira said that, in terms of migration, there were significant changes in regulatory frameworks that resulted in improved processes for obtaining visas and processing and registering investment projects.
He also took the opportunity to highlight the elimination of the requirement for partnerships for foreigners, the requirement of a minimum amount to invest in Angola and the recent inclusion of the contractual investment regime, which allows the negotiation of incentives on a case-by-case basis.
According to the statement, the diplomat, who was on a working visit to that country within the framework of closer relations between the two nations, held separate meetings at the highest level with those responsible for the areas of Foreign Affairs, Energy and Mines, Environment Environment and Natural Resources, Industry and Commerce, Culture, and educational institutions.
