Africa-Press – Angola. Angola recorded 16 positive cases and recovered 22 people from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, a period in which no death associated with the disease was reported, says the bulletin presented yesterday by the National Directorate of Public Health (DNSP).

According to the data, of these, 13 are residents in Luanda and three in the province of Zaire. The infected citizens are aged between 21 and 50 years old, 13 of whom are male and three are female.

The bulletin also indicates that, of the 22 recovered patients, 20 are residents in Zaire and two in Luanda. The recovered patients are aged between 31 and 62 years.

In the last 24 hours, 1,195 samples were processed by RT-PCR exams, with a daily positivity rate of 1.3 percent, bringing to a total of 1,454,214 samples taken since the beginning of the pandemic, with a rate of 6.8 percent positivity.

With these data, the epidemiological picture of the pandemic in the country rose to 98,871 positive cases, of which 96,839 recovered, 1,900 died and 132 were active. two moderate, three mild and 126 asymptomatic.

Six patients are hospitalized, 28 are followed in quarantine and under epidemiological surveillance, there are 123.
