Course on Public Policies Starts Today in Bengo

Africa-Press – Angola. The Introduction to Public Policies in the Social Sector and Community Development course, aimed at deputy municipal administrators for the Political, Social and Community Area, starts today, simultaneously, in five regions of the country.The official opening ceremony will take place at 9:00 am in the province of Bengo, according to a statement from the Ministry of Territorial Administration (MAT), the entity promoting the initiative, in partnership with the National School of Administration and Public Policies (ENAPP-E.P).

The training course will run until Friday, April 11, and is part of the implementation of the country’s new Political-Administrative Division. The course is being held in five regions of the country, namely in the North, Northeast, Center, East and South.

The main objective is to “strengthen the skills of deputy municipal administrators and municipal directors of the social area” in the formulation and implementation of public policies, with a focus on political, social and community development. During the course, participants will gain in-depth knowledge of governance strategies, citizen participation and democratic and inclusive practices in local management, with a view to promoting more balanced and sustainable development.

The training also has the support of the Ministries of Social Action, Family and Women’s Promotion, Health, Education, Finance, as well as the Njila Project.
