Africa-Press – Angola. The member states of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) reinforced, this Friday, in Luanda, cultural cooperation, with the operationalization of the strategic plan.

The information was provided by the director of Cultural Action and Portuguese Language of the Executive Secretariat of the CPLP, João Ima-Panzo, during the 2nd Extraordinary Meeting of Ministers of Culture of the organisation, which took place in Luanda.

He said that for the materialization of this program aimed at the cooperation and development of the culture of the member countries, two million and 230 thousand euros were invested, with Angola contributing with 230 thousand euros and Portugal and Brazil, giving one million each.

João Ima-Panzo pointed out as a challenge the elaboration of the principles of pedagogical orientation that accompany the syllabi of the subjects of History and Literature in the curricula of the education system of the CPLP countries, in order to provide a deeper knowledge of the culture of the peoples.

The one-day meeting evaluated the degree of implementation of the CPLP Multilateral Cultural Cooperation Action Plan (2022-2024) and the “Operationalization of the Strategic Plan (2022-2026)”.
