Africa-Press – Angola. Two Angolans participate, at the invitation of the Ethiopian Government, in the Summit of Young Leaders of Africa, started, which takes place at the headquarters of the African Union (AU), in Addis Ababa.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Angolan Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the AU, Francisco José da Cruz, and was marked by interventions by the Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Demeke Mekonnen, and the Deputy -Chairman of the African Union Commission, Rwandan Monique Nsanzabaganwa.

During the summit, attended by the Angolans Domingos Jeteio and Dânia Aguiar, the young leaders will discuss topics such as “Pan-Africanism in History, Present and Future”, “African Solutions to

Africans: Cases of Intervention and Consequences” and “Africa in the International Forum, Its Global Influence and Next Steps”.

The event’s program also includes sharing experiences, visits to historic sites, musical performances, a gala dinner hosted by the Youth of the Prosperity Party, the political force in power in Ethiopia, and a lunch with the Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed.
