Africa-Press – Angola. The municipalities of Cuito and Andulo, in the province of Bié, will have new communal headquarters from Wednesday, following the new Organic Statute approved by the Ministry of Territorial Administration (MAT).
The new Organic Statutes of these Administrations are published in the Official Gazette, through Executive Decree no 194H/22.
To this end, the governor of Bié, Pereira Alfredo, appointed and swore in this Wednesday Henrique Arsénio and Joaquim Vaz Chamanle, for the positions of communal administrators of Cuito and Andulo, respectively.
Zenilda Simba de Oliveira Gonga and Maria Rosa Cancombua are the new deputy communal administrators of the same localities now created.
When speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Governor Pereira Alfredo clarified that the Ministry of Territorial Administration decided to open, exceptionally, two more new communal administrations at the headquarters of the municipalities.
This fact is justified, in the first instance, by the population density as well as the existence of centralities in these cities, which require direct management.
Still within the framework of the adjustment in the State’s Local Administration, the governor of Bié, Pereira Alfredo, also appointed Inês Baca Baptista, in the position of deputy municipal administrator for the Social and Communities area of Cuito, replacing Paulino Jamba Essacalalo, who now takes over the commune of Cambândua.
Along the same path, he installed Isaías Cristóvão Aurélio Lucondo, in the position of communal administrator of Cunje (Cuito) and Firmino Lote Campos, in the position of communal administrator of Cangote, in the municipality of Chinguar.
The new communal administrator of Cuito, Henrique Arsénio, says he intends, in a first phase, to look at the Horizonte do Cuito Centrality, in order to recover its image, as the current state leaves something to be desired.
Another pressing aspect concerns the issue of toponymy, as many neighborhoods, streets and alleys lack their own identification.
In turn, Joaquim Chamanle, new communal administrator of Andulo, said that, in the first instance, he will assist the administration in improving basic sanitation.
