Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the Democratic Bloc, Francisco Filomeno Vieira, defended, Sunday, in Huambo, the exploitation of natural resources, in a responsible way and focused on industrialization, to promote socioeconomic development and the well-being of the population.
According to the party leader, who was speaking at a lecture on the topic “How to take advantage of Huambo’s natural resources, for the economic development of the region”, the responsibility for preserving these assets should be a task for all Angolans.
He pointed out Huambo province as a region rich in terms of mineral, water, forestry and agricultural resources, whose exploration should be focused on leveraging the national economy, from the industrial point of view.
He stressed that “we all live on natural resources, hence the importance of studying together how to take advantage of them, in order to impact the lives of citizens”.
However, he recalled that the most developed countries in the world took advantage of natural resources, many of which are exhaustible, to leverage industrialization, with fire in socioeconomic development.
