Africa-Press – Angola. The vice-governor for technical services and infrastructure in Lunda Norte province, Domingos Dala, this Tuesday encouraged the promotion of continuous training for journalists, aimed at improving the quality of content, especially economic ones.

The official made this appeal at the opening of the seminar on “Insurance and pension fund”, promoted by the Association of Economic Journalists of Angola (AJECO), stressing that the continuous training of Social Communication professionals should be a priority for the bodies and their partners (associations and unions). to increase their knowledge in various subjects.

“Social Communication professionals need to be equipped with basic knowledge in various matters so that, before disclosing a matter, they have the ability to interpret, analyze and understand, taking into account their responsibility to inform with honesty and impartiality, facilitating the understanding of the readers, radio listeners, internet users and viewers”, he stressed.

On the other hand, he appealed to the participants to make the most of the transmitted knowledge, in order to increase their knowledge about the importance of insurance and pension funds and, subsequently, to facilitate the public’s understanding of this matter, through the contents to be broadcast. in the different organs.

In turn, the president of AJECO, José João Joaquim, said that the seminar aims to raise the level of knowledge of certain matters on the insurance market and ensure the level of literacy of journalists on this matter.

He added that the training is part of AJECO’s action plan, whose aim is to encourage journalists to play a fundamental role and positively influence the local business community to seize the business opportunity in the insurance market in Angola.

For the official, economic journalism is a fundamental instrument in building bridges and entertainment platforms between the various authors, in the free exercise of the activity or in the dissemination of economic theory.

The Association of Economic Journalists of Angola was founded on August 12, 1996, it is a non-governmental non-profit organization, stateless and endowed with legal personality.

AJECO’s mission is to promote and reinforce the positive awareness and reputation of its members, as well as encourage and disseminate economic information from Angola and the rest of the world.
