Africa-Press – Angola. Desportivo da Lunda Sul was, this Wednesday, eliminated from the Angola Cup in football, after losing to 1o De Agosto, on penalties, by 4-5, in a match for the round of 16, played at the stadium city of Mangueiras.
With this result, “Lundas” are qualified for the quarter-finals.
In the first half, Desportivo da Lunda Sul had the initiative of the game with two moves in the space of nine minutes, forcing the opponent to make some mistakes.
After a zero-ball tie in the 90 regular minutes, the “Lunda” formation was incapable in the penalties, scoring only four times against five of the outsiders.
At the end of the game, the coach of Desportivo da Lunda Sul, Maurílio Silva, lamented the fact that his boys were unable to achieve victory, and consequent passage to the other stage”.

“I think that, despite the triumph achieved, I must give credit to the opponent who approached the game with a lot of attitude”, admitted the coach.
