Africa-Press – Angola. The book on Digital Diplomacy, by Angolan journalist António de Sousa Simbo, was presented and sold, over the weekend, at the first edition of the International Portuguese Language Literature Fair, in London.
Speaking from the capital of the United Kingdom, the author stated that the interest in approaching this topic lay in the analysis of new, current and innovative advantages of digital diplomatic practices.
On the other hand, said the journalist, the book serves as an incentive to integrate the potential of digital diplomacy into MIREX’s strategies, to materialize the objectives of Angolan foreign policy and embassies, in the coverage and execution of their diplomatic acts.
The book, as the source states, addresses the need for Angola to move forward in the construction and promotion of nation branding – a new concept widely used in international relations and presents digital diplomacy as an instrument for software , “in a world that has embraced fourth industrial revolution, digital transformation”.
The International Portuguese Language Literary Fair, with its first edition just held in London, was an event to celebrate the Portuguese language through the exhibition and sale of books written by authors of the Camões language, residing outside their countries of origin.
In addition to books, the exhibition and sale of other products related to the literary world is also a complement to cultural dissemination.
