The National Institute of Qualifications (INQ), approved by the Council of Ministers, on 23 July 2022, is, since Monday, prepared to start receiving diplomas from citizens trained in Angola to be certified, in order to be able to work in anywhere in the world with the same valences.

According to the Minister of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security, Teresa Rodrigues Dias, for years, Angolan staff who wanted to work abroad did not have equivalent skills to be well framed, so the INQ was created.

“Angolan staff will have skills that allow them to work in other countries with the same qualification acquired in Angola”, underlined Teresa Rodrigues Dias, who was speaking at the inauguration of the INQ board.

He added that the INQ will allow the existence of a catalog of qualifications and its statute recommends an alignment with the Ministry of Education, specifically in terms of accreditation and recognition.

The INQ will be led by Edgarda Sacramento Neto, who will have Ana Cláudia Pinto de Andrade as deputy general directors, to coordinate the areas of Management of the National Catalog of Professional Qualifications and the Processes of Recognition, Validation and Certification of Competencies, and Maria Liliana Afonso Pascoal Quizela, who will be responsible for the Management of Accreditation and Certification of Training Entities, as well as for the Management of Professional Equivalence. Eduarda Israel Cassangue was also sworn in as deputy general director for the Professional Training area of ​​the National Institute for Employment and Professional Training.

The deputy director general of SIAC, Edgar Domingos Pombal, will also coordinate the Information and Communication Technologies Office.

The Minister of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security also swore in Adjair Natalino Gouveia and Maurício Simão Bento, as heads of the Studies and Statistics department.
