Africa-Press – Angola. The winners of the second edition of the international youth competition “Draw your bay” were selected for a drawing exhibition that has been running since Sunday at the Guimarães Rosa Institute, Brazil-Angola Cultural Center, and ends on the 18th of this month.The drawings by Joel da Graça Dias Pedro, Carlos João and Adilson Morais Bastos, students from the “Verbo Divino” schools in the urban district of Rangel and “Tchissengue” in the municipality of Cazenga in Luanda, were chosen from a qualifying round in which more than fifty children from various schools in the country’s capital took part.

During the exhibition, the students will receive certificates of participation and other prizes as a way of encouraging the creativity of the young people.

The deputy vice-president of the World Association of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World, Henrique de Magalhães, said in a statement that the jury was made up of experts in the field. The coordinator, she explained, was the writer Amélia da Lomba. The jury evaluated 88 drawings and the first four winners of the competition will be at the annual drawing congress in Canada.
