Africa-Press – Angola. The Informal Economy Reconversion Program (PREI) advances to the Eastern Region, as of the second half of February, as announced this Tuesday (8th) in Luanda, the office director for Population Policy of the Ministry of Economy and Planning.

Adriano Celso Borja, who presented the balance of PREI’s activities, held from 1 to 7 February, at the usual biweekly conference, highlighted that, in this first phase, the campaign reaches the provinces of Lunda-Sul, Lunda-Norte and Moxico.

As for markets, the process will take place in the Candembe market, in Lunda-Sul; Canunguma, in Lunda-Sul, and in the municipal market of Alto Luena, in Moxico. For the three provinces, Adriano Celso Borja said that the Ministry plans to formalize a universe of nine thousand operators, three thousand for each province.

As for statistics, the process of acceleration of the PREI allowed, since January of this year, until the present date, to formalize 69 thousand micro entrepreneurs and cooperatives. The days for the formalization of economic activities take place across the country, covering a third of the territory.

Still on the ongoing process, the director of the Office for Population Policy of the Ministry of Economy and Planning, Adriano Celso Borja, said that on February 11 the campaign will be extended in Cunene province, in the Ochimuco market, where three thousand operators were formalized, which will reinforce the statistics obtained since the beginning of January this year.
