Africa-Press – Angola. The Ebo Chess School confirmed on Monday its participation in the 5th Edition of the Waku-Kungo Cup, to be held on the 5th and 6th of this month, in the amphitheatre of the Municipal Administration of Cela, in the province of Kuanza-Sul, in allusion to the 54th anniversary of the City, to be celebrated next Saturday.
The chess tournament will feature 32 participants, 20 from the Cela Chess School and 12 from the Ebo Chess School. The population will benefit from two days of excellent chess movements on the boards. Each game will last 1 hour. The tournament will be played by both genders.
The organization of the event guarantees 10 prizes, one for men and the rest for women. The competition is only open to young people aged between 8 and 16. The Waku-Kungo region was founded on July 6, 1970, when it became a city.
