Africa-Press – Angola. The Economic Commission of the Council of Ministers analyzed, this Tuesday, during its 2nd ordinary session, the balance of the treasury’s financial programming for the 1st quarter of 2024, as the main operational instrument for the execution of the General State Budget (OGE).

The document contains the execution of the inflows and outflows of financial resources in the period in question, recording operations with direct and indirect treasury implications.

According to the final communiqué of the meeting, guided by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, the balance of the treasury’s financial programming for the first quarter of the current year considered as main assumptions the execution of oil exports of 1.05 million barrels per day, the average price of USD 79.20 per barrel and the average exchange rate of Kz 829.74 per USD.

Also the Economic Commission considered two diplomas approving the appointment of the Heads of the Ministerial Departments responsible for Development Cooperation and Public Finances to the positions of Governor of Angola and Deputy Governor.

The diplomas aim to adapt and update the representation of the Republic of Angola before multilateral institutions for development, namely the World Bank (WB) and the African Development Bank (ADB).

The Economic Commission also assessed the diploma through which the President of the Republic appoints the Heads of the Ministerial Departments responsible for Development Cooperation and Public Finances to the positions of Governor of Angola and Deputy Governor, respectively, at the African Bank of development.

This specialized commission took note of the Joint Executive Decree approving the Regulation on Irrigated Perimeters, a diploma that defines the tariff model applicable to them, the parameters based on which the consideration must be calculated, the modalities for sharing the costs associated with the concrete provision of public services, as well as the principles of management, exploration and use of irrigated perimeters.
