Africa-Press – Angola. The sectors of Education, Health, Communications and Basic Sanitation lead the list of projects completed under the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM), informed the coordinator of the technical group.
Márcio Daniel, who was speaking to the press on Monday, at the end of the 5th ordinary meeting of the Interministerial Commission for the Implementation of the PIIM, said that the Education sector is the most benefited with 730 projects, Health is focused on the theme of primary care, with health posts, municipal hospitals, medical and maternal and child centers.
“This ends up responding to the criticism made to the Executive that it is only focused on the construction of large hospitals and maternal and child centers. The concrete answer is that, within the scope of the PIIM, we have 346 projects related to Health. 53 municipal hospitals, 52 maternal and child centers and several health centers and posts built throughout the country”, underlined Márcio Daniel.
The also Secretary of State for Local Authorities added that there are municipalities where health posts are being built in all communes. As an example, he pointed to Muconda, in the province of Lunda-Sul.
The work of the 5th ordinary meeting of the Interministerial Commission for the Implementation of the PIIM was guided by its coordinator, the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Manuel Nunes Júnior.
