Africa-Press – Angola. Eight provinces begin the competition, this Saturday, in Luanda, of the 18th edition of the National Football Championship for Amputees, taking place at the Cantinho da Bola field, in the W block, in the City of Kilamba.

With the mixed team from the province of Benguela as the defending champion, the competition will be played from the 10th to the 18th of this month, before Angola’s participation in the African Championship, in April, in Ghana.

In the first phase of the competition, the teams will be divided into two series (A and B), and will play in an all-against-all system, with the top four in each series qualifying for the quarter-finals.

According to a note from the Angolan Paralympic Committee (CPA), PRESS had access to the semi-finals and final in Luanda.

The games will be played every day in the morning, at the Cantinho da Bola field, in the W/W1-W2 block, in Kilamba City.

The competing delegations arrive this Friday, with the technical meeting expected at the end of the day to draw the matches.

Series constitution:

Series A: Mixed in Benguela, 1st of June in Viana, Mixed in Cuanza Norte, Mixed in Malanje and 3rd of December.

Series B: 1o de Junho de Viana (B), Misto do Huambo, Misto do Bié, Misto do Uíge and Misto da Huíla.
