Africa-Press – Angola. A new Electoral Registration post went into operation on Wednesday, in the city of Salvador (state of Bahia), in the Federative Republic of Brazil, to serve the resident Angolan community.

The equipment, recently made available, results from a request from the Embassy of Angola in Brazil to the Ministry of Territory Administration, to cover this region far from the registration posts already in operation in Brasília, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

According to Ambassador Florêncio de Almeida, quoted today in a press release from the Diplomatic Mission of Angola in that South American country, with this solution and the extension for another seven days of the electoral registration deadline, more compatriots will certainly be able to fulfill their duty citizenship and qualify to vote next August.

More than two hundred Angolans currently reside in the state of Bahia, Brazil.
