Africa-Press – Angola. Insurance for agricultural machinery and infrastructure for business buildings are the new packages presented by the National Insurance Company of Angola (ENSA), at the twelfth edition of the Benguela International Fair (FIB).
The insurance company’s marketing director, Ricardo Tungo, claimed that these two insurance policies are in line with the FIB’s theme, which is the economic development of the Lobito Corridor.
He explained that with regard to insurance for machines, the company registers and values the entire fleet of the client and classifies it in its policies. Later, if there is an accident, it finds the cost of the repair and identifies the technicians who do the work, according to the area, so that the service is faster.
“In case these are not repaired, we inform the customer and see the possibility of him purchasing a new machine”, he clarified.
As for the buildings, he said they are insured and in case of damage (destruction or fire), they send a professional to carry out the assessment and then identify the technician to repair it.
Asked about the customers’ payment methods, Ricardo Tungo said that they pay a fee on the value of the machine or the building, quarterly, half-yearly or annually, whichever is more convenient for them.
He exemplified that if the customer has a policy worth 120,000 kz and has an income of 30 or 40,000 kz, it will be difficult to pay at the beginning of the year.
“In this case, we split it up to allow him to pay the 30,000 Kz in January, the second installment in April, the other in July and the last in October and thus fulfill his commitment”, said the director.
According to him, it is a financial protection because without insurance, the customer would have to disburse the amount to pay and it might not be available.
The administrator also referred to insurance for individuals, saying that the company brought “Saúde Yami”, a product launched at the end of last year, with the particularity of its price, as it is in line with the economic power of families.
Ricardo Tungo stated that ENSA has been present at all FIB editions and already has eight best stand titles, in relation to other insurers.
“We have over 60,000 customers nationally and in terms of brand awareness it is at 85 percent”, said the director.
