Africa-Press – Angola. The third edition of the Entrepreneurial Women’s Fair, in the province of Cabinda, opened on Thursday, with the participation of 120 exhibitors, expected to surpass the four million kwanzas raised in the previous exhibition.
The fair, which brings together exhibitors from the four municipalities that make up the province of Cabinda, welcomes agricultural products, such as bananas, sweet potatoes and reindeer, cassava, corn, ginguba, as well as handicrafts and construction materials (paints, cement , between others).
According to the provincial secretary for Integrated Economic Development, Cândida dos Santos, the objective of holding the event is to generate more business opportunities, encourage and empower women to enter trade.
Speaking at the opening of the event, the vice-governor for the Political and Social sector, Miguel de Oliveira, encouraged women to take advantage of the event to exchange experiences and acquire new knowledge about entrepreneurship.
The leader called for the promotion of more actions that contribute to promoting national production, expanding the production network, reducing imports and diversifying exports.
Under the motto “Business today, always be happy”, the fair features agricultural cooperatives, peasant associations, individual producers, economic agents, among other participants, who for three days will demonstrate, above all, Cabinda’s agricultural potential.
