Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Sahle-Work Zewde, praised, this Thursday, in Addis-Ababa, the efforts of the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, for the peace and security of the African continent.
The Ethiopian stateswoman, who was speaking during a meeting with the head of Angolan diplomacy Téte António, highlighted the involvement of the Angolan counterpart in ending the crisis between the Democratic Republics of Congo (DRC) and Rwanda and, more recently, in Sudan.
During the meeting, bilateral issues were addressed, with a focus on consolidating the legal basis, with a view to concluding and signing the three pending projects, namely the General Cooperation Agreement in the Economic, Technical, Scientific and Cultural domains, Agreement on the Exemption of Visas in Passports Diplomacy and Service and the Memorandum of Understanding for the Establishment of Mechanisms for Political Consultations.
On the occasion, the head of Angolan diplomacy praised Ethiopia’s experience in the sector of industry and agro-food technology, presented as a space for action by the future pharmacist, in addition to considering the reassessment of the only two existing bilateral legal instruments in the fields of services to be urgent air, 1977, and trade, 1981, with a view to their revision.
Minister Téte António has been in the Ethiopian capital since Wednesday in the framework of consultations with Azali Assoumani, President of the Union of the Comoros and acting member of the African Union (AU).
