The Executive, through the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, reaffirmed, Monday (28) , the commitment to continue working on the creation of policies to improve the social and technical conditions – and not only – of all professionals and operators in the sector.
The commitment is included in a statement, on the occasion of the 89th anniversary of the beginning of radio broadcasts in Angola, marked Monday (28). In the document, the Ministry of tutelage addresses all Radio professionals, in all provinces, “words of congratulations and thanks, for the commitment and dedication in the exercise of this noble and relevant function”.
“Blessed to all professionals, in the expectation that you will continue to do your work in the best way, contributing to the safeguarding of the right to information, to the strengthening of our democracy, as well as to the preservation of culture and national identity. “, reads the statement, which praises those who started and those who continue to work for the growth, modernization and improvement of radio in Angola.
Radio broadcasts in Angola began on February 28, 1933, through Álvaro Nunes de Carvalho.
The 89th anniversary of this event takes place at a time when a network of broadcasters makes it possible to cover the country.
