Africa-Press – Angola. “Celebrating Peace” is the title of the most recent collective exhibition of Visual Artists from the United States, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola, resulting from an artistic residency, which has been on display since Tuesday, at the Dr. António Agostinho Neto Memorial, in Luanda.
The exhibition is an initiative of ResiliArt Angola, in partnership with the American School, UNESCO and the Government of Angola, in allusion to the days of the National and International Hero of Peace, within the scope of the Luanda Biennial Pan-African Forum for the culture of peace and non-violence.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the director of ResiliArt Angola, Marcos Agostinho, stressed that the art exhibition is the result of a rich artistic residency that involved talented artists from Angola, the United States, Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
“It is a testament to the unity and creativity that transcend borders and cultures, reflecting the common commitment to peace and the recognition of the heroes who fought for freedom and justice,” stressed the director of ResiliArt, adding that “each work exhibited is an invitation to reflection and dialogue, illustrating the strength and resilience of the union between these countries.”
