FAA Officers Honored for Achievements for the Nation

Africa-Press – Angola. More than seventy senior and junior officers of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) were decorated this Tuesday, in Luanda, as a form of public recognition for their achievements in favor of the country.

The ceremony, part of the celebrations of April 4th, Day of Peace and National Reconciliation, was presided over by the Minister of Defense and Summers of the Fatherland, João Ernesto dos Santos “Liberdade”, representing the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.

Beneficiaries were distinguished with Star Medals and Order of Military Merit.

The Minister of Defense and Veterans of the Homeland considered the act of great symbolism and political importance, due to the relevant services rendered to the homeland throughout the process that led the country towards national independence, peace and national reconciliation and the democratic State of law, “which everyone should be proud of”.

According to the ruler, many of the brave and fearless heroes had a worthy engagement for having put the interests of the State in the first place.

“These acts are simple but very significant and reconciling gestures that we must always applaud”, he stressed.

The minister exhorted the continued work for the maintenance of peace, stability and social justice in the Nation.
