Africa-Press – Angola. The burning sun closed at around 5:00 pm, to give way to a “people’s party”, held last Saturday, in the municipality of Viana, on Rua dos Firefighters, within the scope of the Viana Carnival Fair, which closes in the afternoon of today.
The organization thought of all the details. At the rear of the main stage, a Covid-19 vaccination and testing tent was set up.
In a space of 300 meters, the conditions were created for the invited groups and the Viana municipality to perform in a few minutes.
The intense movement of the revelers gives another color to Avenida Hoje-ya-Henda. The carousel mounted at one end of the track is a delight for children. The local administration made available to the citizens the Services of the Public Service Desk (Buap).
Sanitary conditions were also created on site with several urinals and garbage containers. Food and drinks also have their own space.
For the second secretary of the Twabixila group, which in Portuguese means (We arrived), Fernando Kicongo, the fair is an opportunity to exchange experiences and share with the public and other groups.
During the fair, which takes place since Wednesday, there is an exhibition that presents a collection of the Twabixila group’s assets, such as court and dancers’ clothes, a cane, photographs of past events.
The event was attended by the municipal administrator of Viana, Demétrio Sepúlvida, who was happy with the initiative for allowing the rescue of local cultural values, as well as congratulating everyone who allowed the fair to take place successfully. “We want to rescue the ‘Carnaval da Vitória’ and promote self-employment among local youth”.
