Africa-Press – Angola. The Fazenda Agro-pecuária Chine e Filhos, located in Camunda, in the municipality of Calussinga, Bié province, began producing 3,500 chickens per month in January, with the aim of increasing the supply of the product on the national market.

In statements the farm owner, Evaristo Chivinda, assured that the unit’s purpose is to increase the supply of chicken meat to reduce imports.

The manager announced that from 2026, the farm will double its chicken production to 6,500 chickens per month.

“One of the challenges we have set ourselves is to double the chicken production. The Angolan government is determined to increase the supply of the product on the national market, which is why we accepted the challenge”, stressed the manager.

In the first phase, the chicken produced by the Chine e Filhos farm will be sold in the markets of the provinces of Bié and Huambo.

Egg production

In terms of egg production, Fazenda Chine e Filhos Lda produces 4,320 eggs per day, contributing to the diet of families in Bié and the neighboring province of Huambo.“Our product is of high quality and we are in high demand. We intend to produce feed to reduce the costs of purchasing the product”, said Evaristo Chivinda.

The project has the capacity to produce 28 thousand eggs per day, although this number has not yet been reached, he expects that, according to the investments that are underway, these goals can be reached next year.

Farm Chine e Filhos Lda has been operating since 2017, and has an area of ​​two thousand hectares, and has more than 50 employees, mostly young people.
