UNITA highlighted the path of women in the struggle for dignity and honor since the time when human life is made in society, allowing them to conquer, from the 19th and 20th centuries, a substantial part of their labor, economic, social and politicians, reads the message sent yesterday to this fringe on the occasion of (8) International Women’s Day.
Galo Negro’s message states that it was also in recognition of the role of women in society that UNITA created, in 1972, the LIMA – Liga da Mulher Angolana, as a political instrument for the effective and organized participation of women, in raising the their social, cultural, material and spiritual condition. Thus, the Standing Committee of the Political Commission of UNITA salutes women in general and Angolan women in particular. “It reaffirms its conviction of the exclusive role of women in the construction of the one homeland because they are, by nature, eminently congregants and promoters of civic and moral values. , to all the heroines of the history of Angola, whether they are prominent or anonymous figures”, underlines the message.
Due to political circumstances, the Standing Committee of the UNITA Political Commission urges all women of legal age to update their electoral registration, in these 23 days left, thus enabling them to vote in August 2022.
