Africa-Press – Angola. The first phase of the work on the Samba Cajú/Banga road, with 25 kilometers already paved, will be completed in December this year, announced this Saturday, in the municipality of Banga, the person responsible for the project, Francisco Pinto.

The project, budgeted at 39 billion, 344 million, 678 thousand kwanzas, covers 46 kilometers (Samba Cajú/Banga).

The works present a physical execution of 48.91 percent and an equal value for the financial.

The section consists of a package of three lots: Samba Caju/Uiangombe/Banga, with a length of 46 kilometers, Banga/Quiculungo, with a length of 35.5 kilometers, and Quiculungo/Bolongongo, with nine and a half kilometers, comprising the routes of complementary roads 316/122 and Estrada Nacional 225.

The head of the Griner company, who was speaking to the press regarding the two-day working visit to the province by the Minister of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing, Carlos Alberto dos Santos, informed that seven bridges and 144 hydraulic crossings have already been built.

The works also include the construction of 50 hydraulic crossings and seven bridges measuring 10 to 25 meters in length.

Minister Carlos dos Santos, accompanied by the governor of the province of Cuanza-Norte, João Gaspar Diogo. began by assessing the technical condition of the bridge over the river Lucala 1, on Estrada Nacional 230, in the municipality of the same name.

The bridge has cracks and dislocation of metal plates, whose rehabilitation, according to the government official, appears “urgent”, taking into account the traffic flow that occurs on this route.

According to the work agenda, the minister will check the progress of some ravines in the province, the progress of the Cazengo urbanization work, the roads between Golungo Alto and Ngonguembo and the section between Zenza do Itombe , Caxilo and Ndalatando.
