Florêncio de Almeida presents Letters of Credentials in Venezuela

Africa-Press – Angola. The diplomat Florêncio de Almeida presented, on Tuesday, to President Nicolas Maduro, the Letters of Credentials as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Angola in Venezuela.

The ceremony that took place at the Miraflores Palace was preceded, last Monday, by the presentation of the Figurative Letters to the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela.

Angola and Venezuela maintain diplomatic relations and have signed several agreements, namely in the field of oil, bilateral consultations, suppression of diplomatic and service visas, as well as Memoranda of Understanding for the extraction of diamonds in Venezuelan territory.

In the act, in which the Ambassadors of Nicaragua, Botswana, Ghana and Mauritania also presented Letters of Credentials, President Nicolas Maduro highlighted the importance of cooperation between countries and peoples, wishing success to the Diplomats who are starting a mission in his country.

Based in Brazil, Florêncio de Almeida represents the Republic of Angola in Chile, Colombia, Peru, the Guianas and Suriname.
