Africa-Press – Angola. – The Political Bureau of the FNLA recommended this Friday, in Luanda, the strengthening of its municipal structures this year, with a view to local elections.
Speaking to the press, the President of the FNLA, Nimi a Simbi, informed that the re-registration of activists will be carried out at municipal level taking into account the electoral challenges in these municipalities.
The party leader pointed out as challenges for 2024, the redefinition of the parliamentary bench pact with the PRS.
He said it was not about discussing the political agreement with the PRS, but about acting as a bench, based on a common denominator of updating.
Founded on March 27, 1962, the FNLA has two deputies in the National Assembly, who form a parliamentary group, with an equal number of PRS representatives in the House of Laws.
Nimi a Simbi stated that the political year also holds actions such as the review of governing documents, namely the statutes, operating regulations and the party code of ethics.
According to the final communiqué, 38 of the 51 members of the Political Bureau evaluated the 2024-2025 program based on 14 axes, divided into 308 tasks.
In the statement, the FNLA leadership called on the Executive to outline measures that better target the economic and financial situation of Angolan families.
