Africa-Press – Angola. For the election on August 24, in Bengo, the National Liberation Front of Angola (FNLA) is focused on the election of at least one deputy to the National Assembly by the provincial circle, advanced yesterday in the commune of Úcua, municipality of Dande, the first provincial secretary.

Junqueira Júnior, who was speaking to the press at the end of a vote-hunting activity, in Bairro 40, said that the FNLA works hard in mobilizing and sensitizing the population for the election.

He explained that the militants of his party have already carried out awareness-raising actions in the municipalities of Ambriz and Dande, so that in the coming days they will intensify the actions in the area of Libongos, Quibaxe, Bula Atumba, Pango Aluquém and Nambuangongo.

According to Junqueira Júnior, the party’s main lines are Agriculture, Health, Security and Education. “The people of Bengo can expect a lot from the FNLA, which is for peace, harmony and work. Therefore, our action aims to awaken the militant mass, so as not to fall into the formula that the party was not present”.

The provincial secretary of the FNLA in Bengo, Junqueira Júnior, warned that, in Caxito, there are several situations that should be discussed and never were. As an example, the irrigation canal, which crosses the city, according to the politician, is a palpable endemic factor for malaria.

“Many deaths come from that ditch, due to lack of basic sanitation. Even here in Úcua, there are ponds that must be eliminated, to avoid various diseases”, he concluded.

FNLA Vote Hunt

The FNLA remains firm in the “vote hunt” in the markets and peripheral areas of the city of Luanda, for the general elections of 24 August, with the intensification of campaign actions to mobilize voters.

Today, the brigadistas of the “brothers” party will travel through several arteries of the urban district of Baia, municipality of Viana, to meet the voters, to whom they intend to present the image of the candidate for the Presidency of the Republic Mini to Simbi, as well as to make known the position that the FNLA occupies in the ballot paper. “The party has sought to fulfill an agenda to make potential voters aware of the governance program for the country, in case it wins the elections”, highlighted Ndonga Nzinga, spokesperson for the FNLA.

Explaining that this work has been carried out a little by all the provinces, Ndonga Nzinga said that, yesterday, the FNLA militants carried out a partisan activity of mobilization in the Asa Branca market.

As part of the intensification of campaign activities, the president of the FNLA, Nimi a Simbi, will travel to Huambo province on the 17th, then travel to Huíla.
