Africa-Press – Angola. The former vice-president of Costa Rica, Epsy Cambell Barr, left Luanda Saturday, after participating in the 1st International Women’s Forum for Peace and Democracy.
At the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, Epsy Cambell Barr received farewell greetings from the Minister of State for the Social Area, Dalva Ringote.
The former Vice-President came to Angola with the aim of interacting and exchanging experiences with Angolan and foreign women from various sectors.
At the forum, Epsy Cambell Barr urged African women to increasingly excel in the economic sector.
“We are in a position to drive a global women’s cooperative banking, with three fundamental pillars, namely funding, the entrepreneurial university and digital economy for women and the personal and political empowerment of women”, said Epsy Campbell.
Epsy Cambell Barr advanced that women need technical training, as they are also capable of governing.
Epsy Barr believes that it is by empowering more women that one thinks locally, in the community, and in the challenges of nature, as well as children who must have references from committed people.
The event’s motto was “Technological Innovation as a comprehensive tool for food security and the fight against drought on the African continent”, focusing on women’s struggle for equality, emancipation, development, peace and democracy”.
