Africa-Press – Angola. The future Cultural Center of Huambo, at the seat of the capital municipality, will be delivered to the inhabitants of the province later this year, said this Saturday, the contractor of the work, Geovane Morais, who also guaranteed compliance with contractual deadlines and quality of work.

Without specifying the month of completion of the works, the contractor, from the construction company Omatapalo, said that the financial constraints, which caused the work stoppage for seven years, had all been overcome.

Deputies from the Huambo Provincial Circle carried out a visit last week to assess the degree of physical execution of this second phase of the project. In the act, the coordinator of the Nucleus of Deputies of the National Assembly in Huambo, Armando Capunda, said that they could get an idea of the degree of execution of the work and see the commitment of the contractor company.

For the deputy, the project is being carried out in order to give more possibilities to cultural promoters and artists in the province. “The future Cultural Center of Huambo is an initiative of the Angolan Executive and added value for the inhabitants of the region, especially for the local artistic class”, he said.

Armando Capunda hopes that the space can be used in addition to cultural activities, also giving the possibility for other sectors, such as commerce, to invest. “It’s an opportunity to generate new services and more jobs,” he said, in addition to asking the center’s future managers to take better care of the good.
